Harris NorthStar Chosen by Tillsonburg Hydro to Provide CIS/Billing Solution
OTTAWA, ON - 12 May, 2008
The NorthStar division (Harris NorthStar) of Harris Computer Systems announced today that it was selected by the Town of Tillsonburg, ON to deliver its customer information and billing solution for Tillsonburg’s electric customers.
Tillsonburg Hydro Inc. will be moving to NorthStar CIS from a legacy system that has been in place for a number of years. Tillsonburg Hydro Inc. (THI) is 100% owned by the town of Tillsonburg, ON (pop. 14 822) which is situated about 50km southeast of London, ON. The utility distributes electricity to more than 6500 customers. Working in partnership with the Electricity Distributor’s Association of Ontario, the Ontario Ministry of Energy and the Ontario Energy Board, THI is committed to the safe distribution of electricity and the responsible maintenance of the Town’s electricity grid.
