Seamless CIS Infinity implementation completed: Hutchinson Utilities Commission
Hutchinson, MN and Toronto, Canada. August 5, 2008
Following the successful implementations of CIS Infinity at 18 member cities of LOGIS, Hutchinson Utilities Commission (HUC) has completed its own seamless go live.
From the beginning, one of the main reasons HUC selected CIS Infinity – the customer information and billing solution by Advanced Utility Systems (Advanced) – was that being a member city of LOGIS, HUC was able to see the benefits of the software in use at other member sites.
HUC, like the other cities has its own specific business process requirements, rates and configuration needs. However, unlike the other members, HUC provides electric and gas service rather than water.
In order to ensure a smooth implementation and go live Advanced focused on using its prior implementation know-how, customizing its implementation process and providing on-site support for go live.
In all areas of the implementation Advanced applied knowledge gained from the previous LOGIS projects to HUC.
Steven Hammond, General Manager of Advanced notes, “Many of our staff come from the utility industry and as a result are experts in this field. However, as an organization we are always growing and learning. This combination of a solid knowledgebase and learning from experience lends to this recent, and many other seamless go lives.”
Throughout the implementation Advanced adapted its proven methodology to address the unique requirements of HUC. Specifically, HUC had a very in-depth and complex data conversion which required Advanced to deliver a creative and customized solution. Advanced was able to come through with a timely and accurate conversion.
In addition, as with all its implementations, Advanced provided on-site staff to work in close collaboration with HUD in the days leading up to go live.
As a result of Advanced and HUC’s commitment to the project, CIS Infinity went live seamlessly. Jan Sifferath, HUC Business Manager commented on its implementation, “Our go live was executed without a hitch, our unique needs have been met and we look forward to having a great working relationship with Advanced over the long-term.”
LOGIS is a not-for-profit consortium of Minnesota government entities in the Minneapolis - St. Paul area. It provides management information systems, support and related services to its members, essentially acting as a shared information technology department.
