Town of Wallingford Selects Advanced and CIS Infinity

Harris Computer Systems ("Harris”) is excited to announce that the Town of Wallingford Connecticut has selected Advanced Utility Systems’ CIS Infinity to replace Tyler Technology’s Gemini Pace utility billing system.

The Town of Wallingford (Wallingford) is located in the Hartford – New Haven corridor, in northern New Haven County. Wallingford covers an area of roughly 40 square miles, and is home to a large variety of industries and major corporations including, medical, health care, service, high-tech, and metal manufacturing organizations.

Currently Wallingford provides service to 25,000 electric and 14,000 water / sewer customers. CIS Infinity was selected as a means to automate collections processing, strengthen report generation, and toughen systems security. As Wallingford Project Manager Chris Lucht commented:

“Our Utility Billing replacement project took about two years from inception to the selection of Advanced Utility Systems as the provider of our replacement CIS system. Of 24 companies solicited to respond to our RFP, 6 vendors submitted proposals. From those six we generated a short list of three vendors to examine more closely. Our selection team was very impressed, not only with the CIS Infinity product itself, but also the knowledgeable staff at Advanced Utility that worked with us during the whole process. Some of the features CIS Infinity will bring to our Public Utility are automated service orders, automated collections, a powerful rate engine, better control of our bill print format, better reporting, and more granular system security.”

Wallingford represents the second Advanced Utility Systems client within the state of Connecticut. As General Manager of Advanced, Steve Hammond commented:

“The Town of Wallingford presents an excellent opportunity for Harris, Advanced, and CIS Infinity. It was apparent from the very beginning that the Wallingford project team was very aware of their business practices and the specific functionality they required in a new CIS system. Implementation of CIS Infinity began July 2008.
