Central Lincoln People’s Utility District selects Harris’ Advanced Utility Systems
October 20, 2009
Harris’ Advanced Utility Systems (Advanced) is pleased to announce that Central Lincoln People’s Utility District (CLPUD) has selected CIS Infinity as its preferred customer information and billing solution.
Based in Newport, Oregon, CLPUD’s service territory extends along 120 miles of the Oregon coastline, covering approximately 700 square miles. CLPUD has seven offices located throughout its territory and provides service to 37,500 electric customers in Lincoln County, Douglas County, Lane County and Coos County.
Doug Dawson, Manager of Information and Technology Services, led the District through a comprehensive procurement process and worked closely with the Advanced team throughout the contracting period. “Utilizing an extensive RFP process, we assessed several CIS products available on the market. After a thorough evaluation, Advanced and CIS Infinity best addressed our functional and integration requirements,” mentions Mr. Dawson.
Advanced’s flagship solution will provide the District with the ability to offer an increased level of customer service to its residential and commercial customers. This will be achieved as the District will be able to take advantage of the many features within CIS Infinity including contact management functionality, the robust rate engine, automated workflow and the capability to seamlessly integrate to downstream applications.
With 21 customers in Washington and California combined, the District will mark Advanced’s first customer in the state of Oregon. As stated by Peter Fanous, General Manager for Advanced, “Central Lincoln is a great addition to the Advanced family of electric customers. As we prepare for project kick-off and a successful implementation, we look forward to strengthening our relationship with Doug Dawson and the entire staff at Central Lincoln PUD.”
With an ERP implementation currently underway at the District, Advanced will soon begin its implementation of CIS Infinity with a go-live scheduled for summer of 2010.
